Why I love that my cousin watches our kids......

Nolan with his new hair style!

Norah's beautiful butterfly face!

This is what my kiddos looked like when they came home on Monday from my cousins house. Nothing special was going on she just likes to have fun with them. She painted this elaborate butterfly on Norah and her 2 nieces faces and couldn't leave Nolan out so he got a super cute fohawk. I feel so blessed that she is close and watches them for me so that they don't have to be cared for by strangers while Casey and I are working.

Here are some pics of our newest family member, Paulie. We got him about 2 weeks ago when he was just 7 1\2 weeks old. He is super cute, playful and feisty! And, becoming good friends with our 2 dogs. He might think our smaller dog Abby is his momma cause he's tried to nurse from her a couple of times, and she lets him.....kinda strange I know. Anyway enjoy his cuteness.

Dash Point

Yesterday we spent the morning at Dash Point state park at the beach. There are lots of mountain biking trails there so I dropped Casey off at the top to ride then headed to the beach with the kids to play! When Casey was done riding he joined us for a little while then we headed home. We had to stip Nolan down to just a t-shirt and diaper for the drive home because he was covered in sand and water from head to toe! Norah didn't get quite as dirty she spent a lot of the time looking for shells and rocks. It was a perfect day for the beach :)

Doin' the Puyallup !

Posted by Picasa

Today we went to the Puyallup Spring fair and had a great time. We got there early before it got too busy and barely had to wait in any lines at all. Norah went on 7 rides and had lots of fun. There was a roller coaster she tried that was a little fast for her and she was a little shaken when she got off but, was ready for another ride quickly. She also played a fishing game and won a pink blow up dolphin that squeaks it's great.......not! The squeaking is kind of hidious and actually super annoying. Oh well she thinks it the best, and she won it so she's super proud of herself :) Nolan was pushed in the stroller by Daddy the whole trip and he didn't mind. He got to share Daddy's Elephant Ear with him and he was in Heaven with a big cinnamon sugar grin to prove it! He fell alseep at the end and missed out on more fair food, I had to have just 1 Krusty Pup and Casey wasn't satisfied with only an Elephant Ear and had to have a Fair burger and curly fries too (okay we shared the curly fries) . We came home and put the kids down for a nap and they both slept for 3+ hours, so nice!

Casey is out with the boys tonight for a BBQ and some poker. My sis is coming over and we're gonna take the kids to dinner and make a stop at Target! Tomorrow we are planning a trip to Dash Point in the morning for some mountain biking and playtime at the beach! Tomorrow afternoon we are going to a birthday party for one of Norah's friends and that should be lots of fun too. Stay tuned for some pictures of our busy day.

Easter....a little early !

Posted by Picasa

Tonight Casey's parents came over for dinner, dessert and a little early Easter party! Since I work this weekend we decided to celebrate Easter with them tonight. His Mom made the the cutest Easter baskets for the kids, filled with all of their favorite things. Then we had a yummy dinner and Norah and Nolan had ice cream for dessert :) After that Nolan was all tuckered out and he went to bed, and we didn't hear another peep out of him. Then we decided to color Easter eggs! Me, Norah and Casey's Mom colored the eggs while Casey and his Dad eBayed and watched TV. It was a blast and Norah was so excited for egg coloring, she is quite the little artist! I have lots of great memories of growing up coloring Easter eggs with my whole family, and I hope she will have these same memories. After Norah went to bed we had some homeade marionberry pie and vanilla ice cream and it was delicious, thanks Jamie! Then it was time for Casey's parents to pack up and get on the road for their 2 hour drive home.
Oh and they took our cat River home with them, we decided he just wasn't a good fit and would be much happier at home with them. So, we are now officially on the hunt for a new kitten for the kids.....big SIGH, I hope we find a good one that fits in well with our family, that doesn't get eaten by a snake or hit by a car :( On that note I'm done with this post, wish us well on the search for a new kitty!

Fun in a laundry basket :)

I just love that the two of them can have so much fun together in a laundry basket! Casey took these last weekend of them while I was sleeping, he showed me them when I got up and it just made my night at work. I am so thankful that they play and get along so good together, I know it won't always be like this and that there will be times when all they do is fight, but I am for sure cherishing these moments.
