A VERY busy Saturday & a LAZY Sunday

Saturday morning started out with me waking up at 6:45 am, I had to be in Orting around 8:30 but, Nolan decided to wake me a up little earlier than usual. A couple of weeks ago I decided I was going to run The Foothills 10k(6.2 miles) Dash. It was fun and I managed to run the whole thing in 60 minutes, I didn't really care what my time was just that I was able to run the whole thing. It was also a nice run along the foothills trail and a good portion of the run was alongside the river.
Next I came home, ate and showered and was off to Norah's preschool to help with a fundraiser garage sale. I was there for about 3 1\2 hours and it was fun to get to chat with some of the other mom's. While I was at the garage sale Casey and his Mom took the kids to visit Casey's grandma and have lunch. Once we were all back home I fixed the kids a quick dinner and got ready for a girls only PJ party.

Most of my co-workers have read some or all of the Twilight series books and since the movie came out yesterday on DVD we all just had to get together to watch it. We are all just a touch obsessed with Edward the main character, and it was a blast for all of us to watch the movie together. It was a fun time good drinks, good munchies and good friends. Tiffany even brought little Jackson and he was my own personal heater for a while during the movie, thanks Jackson. While I was at the PJ party Casey went over to Kory's(Tiffany's husband) to watch some GUY TV and have a couple beers. I had to drag him home at almost 1:00 am!

*****
Our lazy Sunday.....
....consisted of staying in our PJ's all day! We didn't even leave the house, except to go out in the backyard and play for a little while when the sun came out. After getting to sleep in we had a late breakfast, played with the kids, gave them lunch and then all 4 of us took an afternoon nap. It was so nice and refreshing. I ordered pizza for dinner and now that the kids are in bed and asleep we're going to watch a movie. Lastly a big thanks to Grandma Jamie(Casey's mom) for staying the weekend with us. She helped out lots with the kids and made it possible for both of us to go out last night! She even cleaned and did laundry which was a nice treat. Here are some pictures from our lazy day today....this was the most productive thing we did. I loved today!

Beach Fun !

Norah on the beach, day one.... a small break in the weather!

Miss Avery, so cute on the beach all bundled up.

Nolan loved eating the sand, and used this toy shovel as an over sized spoon!

The kiddos in the bath after the first day at the beach. Poor Avery was terrified of my little monster Nolan. He gets kinda crazy during bath time, I felt so bad! The expression on Avery's face says it all.

Baby Jackson and Norah. He was the best little baby the whole trip! He really only woke up the first day to eat....quite the little boy.

The beach day 2, Casey and the kids. He showed Norah how to fly a kite for the first time! She absolutely loved it. Casey picked up a special Dora kite for her on Friday night before the trip and she flew it for almost an hour straight!

Our little family, only Casey and I are really looking at the camera....oh well that's just how family pictures go with a toddler and preschooler :)

On Saturday we headed to the ocean, Moclips, WA to be exact. We had planned a kind of last minute trip with the Newgard family earlier in the week. We had a great time, stayed in a fun 2 bedroom suite, played on the beach in between crazy weather and had a good time with our friends. Tiffany tells a little bit more detailed story on her blog, so check it out. Sunday after getting to play in nicer weather we headed home with 2 very tired kids, we stopped in Aberdeen for some lunch and then they slept the rest of the way home! I am looking forward to going back in the summer with hopefully some much nicer weather!

Fire Station Field Trip !

On Thursday Norah's preschool took a trip to the fire station! It was so fun to see her and all her little classmates take turns "driving" the fire truck and climbing thru the ambulance. They all got hats and badges that were stickers, and they were so proud of them. It was a blast to watch the excitement that little ones have for everything new.

Destructive, but .....

.... oh so sweet! My little Nolan has become super rowdy and destructive lately. It must be just a boy thing, because I didn't experience any of the with my sweet Norah. The TV stand was the first piece of furniture to meet the hands of Nolan, he pulled the entire door off and it is now being held in place by a lagre, hot orange tie. Next was our floor lamp, he pulled it down and broke the shade(glass) and the light bulb broke right off too! The same morning the lamp went down I had brought home Starbucks for Casey and hot chocolate for Norah, first he took the lid off Norah's and dumped it all over the living room floor, then when Casey was getting towels to clean it up he somehow reached Casey coffee and started dumping it in his toy box. I know where he has been in the house because he leaves a trail! Daily he takes all the diapers off his changing table and pulls wipes out of the box, he can't walk by a table that has something on top without knocking it off and he totally trashes his room daily. Despite all the destruction he has caused lately he is still the sweetest little thing ever. He blows kisses at everybody, even random people at the grocery store. He gives BIG slobbery open mouth kisses, that I love! And when he is tired he likes to sit on my lap and suck his thumb, it's precious.

Being Silly !

Our broken TV stand!

This is what the living room looks like within 5 min of him being up in the morning.

Floor lamp minus the shade....

.... the shade!
