Sleep.....

Who needs sleep anyways.....not me apparently. Cannot wait for this work stretch to be over, and the sad thing is it just started. After being up for 24 hours one would think exhaustion would set in and I would be off to a fabulous dream land....wrong! After a mere 5.5 hours of sleep I was up and awake, tried to go back to sleep and remembered I was going to marinate a some steak for Casey to BBQ later. So I though I'll get up real quick, make the marinade and head back to bed for a couple more hours. Well, that didn't happen! After searching the black hole that is my kitchen for all the parts to the food processor(unsuccessfully), finally getting the marinade done, and the steak back in the fridge there was no turning back, sad :-(

So I cleaned up, and am now enjoying some coffee and I am just hearing the first little sweet sounds of my kids waking up from their nap (at least they can sleep good). Casey is mowing the back yard and I can smell fresh cut grass, and the sun is shining and as soon as he's done me and the kids will go play outside for a bit. So not sleeping so hot isn't so bad after all, just look at all the things I am getting done ;-)

"How do I make myself feel better?"

This is how yucky she feels :-(
My poor little girl
tired.....

Nolan's definitely feeling fine,
fingers & toes crossed that it stays that way!!!

Norah to me, "mommy, how do I make myself feel better?" This was the first thing out of her mouth this morning, and it seriously broke my heart. Poor little thing was up until 11 last night (and if you know us that is LATE for her) battling a 104 degree fever. Around 11 it finally was down to 101 and she drifted off to sleep. She has all the classic flu symptoms; vomiting, diarrhea, fever, chills and a cough, but is being quite the little trooper through it :-( None of the rest of us have come down with it, thank God! So, today I will be cleaning, disinfecting, and praying that it stays that way.

My Valentines.....

My 2 sweeties, the best Valentines ever ♥

Me and the kids spent the better part of friday afternoon making Valentines Day cards for daddy, and baking & decorating heart shaped cookies.

Norah with all her supplies, she going to be a little crafter!

Get those ladybug stickers buddy!

"more supplies please!"

Working very hard :-)

The finished masterpiece....for Norah more is definitely better!

I just love how Noley's turned out too!

Some of the yummy cookies we made. Norah especially like this, but I have a hunch that more of the frosting and candies went to her tummy than onto the cookies.

Norah had a birthday party to go to today and I got this idea for a Valentine's inspired hair style from a very crafty friend from high school. This is where I got it, she has lots of fun ideas on her blog! Thanks Autumn for the cute idea.

Happy (early) Valentine's Day!

One Amazing Story

About 1 week ago I saw a post on a friend's facebook page asking for prayers for a family who she didn't even know. She posted a link to the family's blog and I have been following and praying for this amazing family ever since. I wanted to share it with all of you, if you read it you will most definitely shed some tears, so get your tissue out! But, besides the tears you will also be inspired by this family's incredible faith in God and the belief that He would heal their son. Their prayers and many others have been answered, and what an incredible thing to share!

This is Bronson, and it is his story I've been following! Click HERE to read his story, start on the February 1st post.

SLEDDING

He's working really hard to climb up this little snowy hill!
Gotta have that tongue out to concentrate ;-)

Just sweet, I this one!

Saturday we went sledding, YAY! It was absolutely a blast and we cannot wait to go back! We headed up to Paradise, on Mt. Rainier with the beautiful sunshine and blue skies above us. The weather could not have been nicer. We went up with some of our best buddies; the Newgard and Martindale families, my sis Sarah and her bf Brandon. What a great group to have fun with! They have a great toddler slope as well as a big kid/adult one. The little kiddos mostly played on the toddler hill which was just perfect for them, and some of us ventured up to the big hill. Norah was so brave, once she did the big hill there was little time spent on the toddler hill the rest of the day! Nolan also had a blast and could not consume enough snow, every time I turned around he had his face in it :-) After playing for a couple of hours we ate lunch and headed home, just in time to avoid the crowd of people that were starting to show up. We had soooo much fun that we are planning to do it again in a couple of weeks!
